What makes it art?...

 Interpretation and perspective...

A unique take on a morning glory done
in oil and crayon...

or a dense cluster of pansies that might
be a photograph.

We get to choose which approach we like best
or...what a novel idea.. love it all.

I think it is art if it was made as such, works as such, and is appreciated as such. I am... rather picky. I don't think most of what is offered as art is.

There has to be a production, and a value to it. Or grass, a toilet, or a bottle of urine with a rosary in it, are called art. They... aren't. Though, even art that has been penned, painted, drawn, produced in some other way, if it doesn't look... right... won't pass my standards. It has to be quality, and a uniqueness to it. I still ponder Dali, and others. They are only possible, maybe more philosophy than art though?

Still, you do you.

I guess everyone has their own standards, which is probably why there are so many kinds of "art". I definitely agree that the rosary in the bottle of urine is very far outside the limits.
I like to think of myself as picky, too.
