Haiku Paradise at Sparrow's...

~~~UPDATE: VOTE before 10 pm Friday.~~~
The lovely lady in charge of Haiku Challenges,
Ms Sparrow at All Atwitter, is on vacation so the
contest has been moved over a day.
The topic for this week is: ~~~~~ PARADISE ~~~~~
Deadline to submit entries is Thursday 10 pm.
the destination
of all the world's wanderers.
is it end or all?
it's us. together.
anywhere, anytime. Here
or there. now and then.
Missing someone? Loving someone? ...
The mugs also have Pondering....... printed on the back.
Go to the Pondering....... store.
'scuse me. 'scuse me...
has anyone seen my poetry?
Thought I left it laying around here.
No? Not lately? Damn. What is up with that?
I've been so poetically uninspired that I haven't
even entered a haiku at Sparrow's since last month.
That makes me nervous. Hope the well isn't dry.
Not that I haven't been kinda busy, understand.
I entered a writing contest at Susan Katz Keating's
other blog, Uniform EnCounters, and won the
poetry division. I pointed all of you that way but I
think the only one who noticed was Walking Man.
Then, I entered the writing contest at Jason's place,
The Clarity of Night, but didn't even place. *sigh*
I signed up for a full down and dirty critique, though.
Looking forward to that.
Sales at the Pondering....... store have dropped off
completely since just before Christmas. But, never fear,
I will have two new products to offer in about two weeks.
I'm extremely poor but still have some room left on
the charge card. Gonna look for some local arts and craft-type
shows to enter. That's kind of an expensive gamble but I guess
I need to take the risk to get the products in front of the public.
I'm also firming up designs for four more shirts and two mugs.
For later. If I can manage the investment.
Of course, I'm missing Berry but, that can't be helped right now.
Let's see. Anything else?
Oh, yeah... one of the visitors I get is from Canton, Ohio using
RoadRunner. Nancy, is that you?? I sent you an email before
Christmas but you haven't written back.
Hope you're ok, my friend.
(Nancy and I were best friends in elementary school in
Uniontown and I'm sure you're all simply thrilled to know that.)
Last but not least, the job search still sucks. But, I think Florida
is done freezing for the season, so that's a very good thing.
Hope ya'll have a great weekend.
I really do appreciate all of you who visit here.
Reviewing the view...
I've been a bit under the weather for a couple of days.
Been spending some time looking at photos Berry took
when he was here. Thought I'd share a few since I
haven't had a decent post idea in a while.
I think it's fascinating to see the colors change from
hour to hour, depending on cloud cover and light.
It's easy to attract dozens and dozens of seagulls
by tossing food out for them. I think we were
offering popcorn from the balcony for this shot.
Daytona has been famous for many years for allowing
vehicles to be driven on the beach. The beach used to
be open 24/7, except for extreme high tides or storms,
but several years ago they started charging $ to drive
on the beach and they close the beach at night. Shame.
Berry has posted several batches of photos in the past week.
If you want to see more of my part of Florida, go here.
Hopefully, I'll be back in the blogging game soon.
Don't forget me.
UPDATE: Nine days wasn't long enough...
UPDATE: Berry posted a flock of pics from vacation
at his blog. Go here to view.
Berry is winging his way back to Indiana.
We had a wonderful time even if we picked
the coldest week of the year. Didn't matter.
We stayed warm and busy.
I took only a few photos. Berry took about 1200
plus several videos. He has post fodder to last
a long time.
And, Sparky has a new buddy.
I'll be around to catch up with everyone
after I process all the memories.
