Worth pondering...

"Dead people receive
more flowers than
living ones, because
regret is stronger
than gratitude."

She never had a boyfriend, let alone husband. We give more flowers to women who forget almost as soon as the flowers die. I have, even in my more singular nature, given more flowers to more women than...

Sure, the dead have gotten flowers. But once. Women? Three times a year, minimum. And, I have given flowers to women I just liked. Even the post office ladies received some of the roses off my rose bush. No cost, that rare time, but... Oh, and I think they got some... bushy flowering thing's blooms, too, once. Smell delicious, had to share.

Just... saying.

In 20 years with Michael, he gave me flowers twice. Once when I had surgery "because if you die at least I gave you flowers once". And once for my birthday because I whined.

And, I think flowers are mostly wasted on the dead.

Well, flowers for the dead aren't... for the dead. They are for the family. And, practical, at least at once. They covered the odor. Some things just continue.

Well, as for him? That was his loss. And a shame. While I lament women, and have troubles, I really do believe women are... God's gift to man. Trouble? True. But well worth it, even if there wasn't sex... mostly. Sex is a side thing anyway. Just saying, he missed out on an excellent opportunity. Flowers or not.

I always felt sympathy for you, on that, Jean. You truly deserved better.

It always gets me when I come across a rose from a grandparent's funeral. It starts sad, but then the memories come back and maybe for a few minute you're there with them again.

But, flowers are also such a celebration of life! A gift from God I say.

And food for the bees...

Also, the ones you have to whine for don't really count.

Hope your weekend's good Jean.

I should have left him much sooner or better yet, not have married him in the first place. Oh, well.
And, true, flowers mean more to the living.

Thanks, Freddie. You, too! Weekend would be better without the damn snow.
