A good list, I'm on the road a lot this summer and books for the airport and hotel are always nice.

The last novels I read that I remember were The Pearl and Death Be Not Proud. That was in Jr. High. I'm sure we had to read novels in high school too but by that time we had discovered drugs.

Great list Jean. Thanks for sharing. I have read Helen Hoover's book...still have a copy. Also a friend had recommended Secret Life of Bees...have been meaning to check that one out. Am trying to do some more reading to balance things out this summer. This list is a place to start!

Brigid, there's always room for a good book, eh?

Mark, I love reading almost as much as good sex.

Brent, you're only the second person I know who has read Hooven Santmyer. I found her book in a second-hand shop for $2, after she was mentioned by Stephen King in his book 'On Writing' (another one of my faves.)
The others are most of my favorites from the ones I read over the last six months or so.
