Strange weather lately and I have a purple toe...

Most of last week our temps were in the upper 80s.
Today it is 50-something and the next few nights are
predicted to be in the low 40s.

Don't take this as a complaint. Really.

The sun is shining, the sky is a beautiful, clear blue and
the Spring Break crowd is almost gone. What's not to like?

Unemployment benefits got beefed up by $25 a week.
That's good because the job market sucks worse all the time.

The company that laid me off in December had another
lay-off in February, the remaining employees are still working
only 32 hours a week and management is now trying to decide
if it would be better for them to shut down completely for the
month of June or go to 24 hour work weeks.
(That was a very long sentence.)

I applied for a job that I think would be very cool.
No response yet from the employer. I will be persistent.

I have no idea why my toe is purple.
I didn't stub it. It is not swollen but it is slightly ache-y.

Go ahead, you can admit it... you're drooling over my exciting life.

I think the only folks working overtime are the gun and ammo manufacturers.

Hope your toes feels better soon.

I admit it. I am drooling. In my defense, I drool a lot since that overdose back on '02. It was worth it.

I'm happy to hear you found a job to apply for.

We lost two people as of Friday.

Hammer, you're back! good to see you.

Mark - and here I thought you were drooling because of me ;-)
Two more... I'm afraid we're not done yet.

I dunno, girl. The JR's achy toe turned out to be pretty serious, but easily curable. Keep an eye on that piggy!

Yes, the job market is teh sux. I still have my insurance license but have taken up with some tax attorneys. I figure it's a good deal. I could give a shit about them and they could care less about me. It's all about the contract and payment.

Blaez - ha, no. No paint here lately.

Berry - sorry, no pics.

Joan - the bruising is starting to fade but spreading a bit. Weird.

I can totally see you working well with lawyers! take no prisoners.

You didn't by any chance vote in an Iraqi election did you. That might explain the toe.

I've always found the best solution to the job problem is to not work for anyone else. You're less likely to lay yourself off.....although the benefits are not so much sometimes.

No, Larry, I didn't make it to any Iraqui elections. And a business of my own is still being pondered.

Thanks, AnnA, I'll be over soon :-)

Mick, it was not difficult ;-)

Berry, I think I'm skipping this week. I saw yours, though. Very good.
