It was my honor, having served no other purpose than to stave the wolves from your well-earned sleep that I, like many who endured the endless drills and hours of choking in chemical suits and being the call of any command and their appointed task to any exercise, did as we where told. That's the job.

But thanks, too. And sleep well as so many will be on watch this night. Some in frost, some awake in heat, and others in worry as they check their chemical suits before bed and wonder if this is the last time they will see their kids. If the call is coming. A father checks his bags before bed.

Save memorials for the dead.

Save Veteran's Day for those who would still fight.

Bless you and all those like you, Mark.

Rather than honoring us, how about making it so the V.A. can’t secretly (without our knowledge) claim veterans who have sought psychological help for our actions in the service as mentally deficient, filing that claim with the FBI, and giving us no sure course to appeal either through the V.A. or through the FBI?

Do that and I am good. I don't need sympathy, help, money, or anything else more than what I get. Just protect my rights. At least give me a fair chance at them.

(I'm putting this on all sites I know which have honored vets, I think people ought to know what is going on in the V.A.)
