Not victims...

One of my favorite mil-bloggers is
Bill and Bob's Excellent Afghan Adventure.

His posts are always enlightening, educating
and often entertaining. He is gathering a large
readership and becoming quite influential.

This post is one of his best.
Go read and understand.
Ask questions, lend support.

He's been on my blog roll for quite a while.

I read this post. Posts from soldiers in the field always make me emotional, and I fine myself getting misty eyed most of the time while reading them. This was no exception.
How can you possibly be considered a victim, if someone makes a conscious decision to step up, voluntarily make the commitment to put on the uniform, knowing that they may not make it home.

Victim... no

Hero... without a doubt

Amen, Mick.
And, those soldiers hate being perceived as victims. It is a message I strongly feel needs to get out.
