waves rise in salute. stand at attention. then roll to rest, making room for the next advance.

Jean, I have just recently discovered your blog and the beautiful words that fill it! Some of your previous posts I still think about..."Common Thread"- 'you don't have to be here, to feel the same'!!!! Also I loved "I Miss Sanity" and related well to it. However I was surprised at some of the comments regarding it being morbidly sad or something to that effect. I really loved that post...when you wake up in life and realise that you have been seeing the world somehow differently to how it really is. That's what I'm going through now, and was pleased to know that I was not alone in my jaded perspective. Thank you for such inspiring words. Bella, East Coast , Australia
I must add Jean that when I found your blog I had recently been visiting another blog that was hugely successful and the blogger was considering writing a book or blook? (it was a blog on simple living). Anyway, when I visited your site I immediately thought this blog could be a published book!!! I even read out "common thread" to my partner, who absolutely loved it. Thought you should know this :). I will definitely be visiting regularly!! Bella
Me thinks you have another fan who appreciates that you do a great job.
You just finished telling me how we all read things from our particular perspective... note this bit of something: You write a wide perspective. One that gets the strings in many people vibrating, pulsing. Sometimes sweetly, and sometimes with gunfire. What harm can there be of you picking out some of your gems and poking them into some of those addresses in yer book?
I got here through someone on my own blogroll and am smitten by your words. Being somewhat ponderous in my own writing (I am a great Dickens fan, so love compound, complex sentences) I love the economy and precision of your words. I'll be back.

Bella - I am more pleased than I can say to read what my words mean to you. Thank you so much.
I hope you return often.

Curious--what is a stormtrooper to you as a metaphor?
Bella - a flattering idea. I'd love to see that happen...thanks, again!
Berry - you are persistant, darlin'. You really want to see me do 3WW? ok,ok. Even though I'm not much of a 'group' person.
EotR - soldiers landing on a beach as do waves of the ocean.

Atavist - Welcome, sir.
I'll be visiting your blog also.
.... I like this one very much..... there is much to be said about the idea of continually consisting... and remaining constant....
Eric
Eric - stable, reliable. Thank you.
Poetry and pith once again, my dear.
Having just spent some time in those breakers, the picture is even clearer. Stormtroopers is a great image!
Sparrow - I'm likin' this pithy image :)Thank you.
...however, it looks like I spelled 'stormtroopers' wrong. Dang!
But "Storm troopers" is OK too, it's the waves as troopers created by a storm!
Sparrow - hmmm...a bit of poetic license, eh?
Absolutely.
I have been remiss
Storm Troopers coming in strong
Luke, where is my sword?
Haiku
Mick - Bravo!
