Always and Forever...

Remind me again of
the whispered promise.

Eternal, forever
all the tomorrows.

Can a promise be kept as
time goes by?

Do words from then mean
the same today?

Do hearts change as
truths unveil?

As lives change does
love change along?

Do we promise forever but
hope for tomorrow?

Do we need questions to laugh at the wind?
Are answers important to taste the salty ocean?
Does knowledge and truth have anything to do with feeling the sand beneath our bare feet?
Am I being a smart-ass in yer comment box?
Is "Happy Thanksgiving" an OK greeting fer ya, today?

But I'm tainted, my views are skewed...

Mick - I must be tainted also, or I wouldn't ask those questions, I guess.

Sorry Jean, but until you start coming up with crappy answers like mine, you are not tainted... there's still hope. Whereas for me, well I'm hopeless. Keep asking... those of us who ARE hopeless, are waiting for you to find the answers... keep looking.

Mick - hmmm... no pressure, or nuthin' right?...lol. Remember, we are supposed to get wiser with age... and, I'm not the only one getting older!

Can a promise be kept as
time goes by? It can be, it should be, but often is not,

Do words from then mean
the same today? Often not, if we continue to learn, our use of the words becomes more or less precise.

Do hearts change as
truths unveil? Of course, our hearts grow larger as we add new truths.

As lives change does
love change along? If based on reality and truth love grows along with us.

Do we promise forever but
hope for tomorrow? Simply, yes.
