I could never dance it nor remember the words or tune. Lucky me....else It would be driving me crazy. Most days I wake with at least one earworm. I need mental earplugs.
Earworm, a loan translation of the German Ohrwurm, is a term for a portion of a song or other musical material that becomes "stuck" in a person's "head" or repeats against one's will within one's mind. Use of the English translation was popularized by James Kellaris and Daniel Levitin. Kellaris' studies demonstrated that different people have varying susceptibilities to earworms, but that almost everybody has been afflicted with one at some time or another.
Worse? Henry the Eighth by Herman's Hermits, circa 1966. Saddest? Adagio for strings by Barber. Funniest? They're coming to take me away ha ha ho ho.
So? Take the song and make your own words to it. Danged tunes are also rythm....something is clicking in you at that rate....
Did you ever go to Anna-Lys's blog and check out the music? It matters not, now, because she changed the music.
But, there was a really neat song on and when I was writing, I couldn't help but to fall into the mood of the words/tune.
Another nice one now. I have "tabs" at the top of my screen and what I do is sometimes go to a place with nice music, and when I leave, I leave on a different tab. That way the music keeps playing.
Actually, I'll betcha (wait, let me count...36, 37, 38) 38 cents! that you'll like the music there, now. If you can't find her name at grabbing the bull, it's because it's listed under Swedish Ambassadorial Duties..... or, it's listed properly at walking on alligators.
Here's Dr. Jooette's recommendation to get rid of the earworm. Listen to this, which has been stuck in my head for the past month.
Even if I get another ear worm, this one always comes back to replace, or shall I say "overpower" it. It's such a great song to have stuck in one's head.

Do you mean the kind of song that gets in your head and drives you crazy 'cause you can't stop singing it?

Watusi? As in those funny-horned African beef cattle? That's a mighty heavy ear worm...
