Gift...

I want
you.
no.
that's not
quite right.
...I want
your love.
yes.
that's it.
no one can
have you.
only the love
you choose
to give.

Sweet Jesus (a positive spin on that), she found the only answer in the universe that matters. Or, the only question that needs answered, with a simple yes or no at that!

Ok, I'm in. Count me in on that one. I am packaging up a whole home full of that and sending it your way. It will arrive on the Karma Express a little more than an hour before you read this and will explode into your life like a kitten into your heart when you read this. You win!

Gotta agree with doom. Well said to both of you.

Hey Jean...I do enjoy your poetry. This one has a great truth in it. But I particularly relate to your dumpster piece.

If I throw this out...
Where will I find another?
But this one is broke.

Insightful. You made me sit back and say Hmmmmmmmm! You often do.

You got that right, baby!

And you can have only the love you choose to accept...

Sometimes I wonder if some of yer stuff could be set to music....

hmmmmm.

Berry - that would be a dream come true for me.

You know, boneman, I've thought so too, for a long time. The rhythm of her poetry is the sort that sounds very musical, very much like lyrics, to me.

Jack. I bet Jack could do it.

And hey, he's not busy these days, right? ;-)

k - Jack?

k said...

Sure.

I mean...well, it may come out disco, I suppose. But...naw!!! I'd guess he's more versatile than that.

Okay. Let me back up a bit.

I realize that not everyone who can perform music can also write it. To set your lyrical words to music. You have the words. Me, I can't write music, and I can't perform it any more either. What you already have is lots and lots of lyrics. To make a song, add music.

All I really know is that Jack used to play in a band. I have no idea, really, if he can write music or not. But! It may be worth asking him.

ah, gottcha, k... his brother, Aspergantus, is a musician, too.

Oh yes! And much closer too.

Interesting.
