Thought I'd put up a few links to some of the artists
I saw at the festival last weekend. A little eye-candy
in between cooking tasks or after your belly is full of
Thanksgiving goodness. Enjoy:
Jeannie Maddox
Ben W. Essenburg
James Gary Richmond
I'll add more another time.
Thanksgiving, for me, will include... giving Sparky a bath,
catching up on yard work, then a nice bubble bath followed
by a plate of cheese, meat and crackers and a bottle of wine
while watching movies.
Life is good.
Happy Thanksgiving!

And a very happy Turkey to you, Jean!
Thank you, dear man!
Happy Thanksgiving Jean. Peace be with you....
Although slightly different from the traditional bacchanalian Thanksgiving orgies around here, yours is most appealing to me. Add some large queen size olives stuffed with a variety of goodies, and I'll abandon the turkey and join you.
Whatever you do, Jean, I hope it is peaceful and satisfying for you...
Thank you, Mick. Hope yours is wonderful!
Winston - gotta make do with what ya got, eh?
Stuffed olives?...yum. You are more than welcome! Happy T'day to you.
Jeanie, Happy Thanksgiving to you & Sparky! One of these days we need to hang, watch old movies, and eat cheese/drink wine together.
The Swimmers Series by Jeannie Maddox is AWESOME, btw. So cool and refreshing. I'm guessing Joanie took to the James Richmond stuff...Pure Florida Slackage, right there.
:-)
Happy T-Day!
Life IS good! I just got this shirt recently.
Happy Turkey Day, Jean!
Erica - now, that would be a great way to spend time with you, my friend! A good thing to look forward to, for sure.
Hope your T'day is sweet and thanks for your good wishes.
Rick - Thank you and backattcha, in spades!
Mark - I LOVE their stuff! Good choice.
Happy T'day to you, too.
Sounds like perfect Thanksgiving plans you have. All the best wishes from a jealous (and cold) Canadian.
Have a great one, Jean!
Happy Day, Jean!
:o)
Atavist - thank you, sir...and to you. Supposed to get a cold snap this weekend, nights in the 40's.
brrrrrrr :)
Thank you, T1G, you too!
Happy Day to you, Joan!
Happy Day After Jean! As I slug around trying to decide what not to do.
heh...I know what you mean, Kim.
Thanks and same to you!
Essenburg has considerable talent.
Our little town has started up an *Art Walk.* Every 3rd Friday they shut down the drive and local businesses etc. display all sorts of artworks by our locals here. It's really fun, it draws folks from all over, and we have a surprising number of seriously talented artists here.
Florida isn't ALWAYS a cultural wasteland.
And: HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I've often indulged in exactly the kind you just celebrated. In fact I thought that's what I'd do this time around. Then I accidentally got Walter at home for it, so I did a spur-of-the-moment cookfest.
Wherein, I cooked a PURPLE potato.
It was GOOD!
a.s. - his work is even better in person. Beautiful!
k - Many of the artists at the show were from south Florida. Actually, for the first time since I've been going, I think there were more from Florida than other states.
heh...I saw that purple potato on your post. I'm glad you had Walter home this time.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, dear!
... happy Thanksgiving, Jean... keep on truckin'!...
Eric
Hope yours was as good as mine!
