Sunshine...

.
I'd say the storm is done here. Mostly.
Still breezy and half cloudy but better. Much better.
Florida should be looking like a prune about now.

I need to check on Mick and Joan and some others.
After that, if you need me, I'll be in the yard picking
up sticks. Such fun.

Thanks to all of you who keep checking in here.
Such wonderful friends I have.
I'll try to be back before the weekend is over.

My neck is itching like crazy. At long last, I think my gills are growing in.

We weathered it without too much incident at the condos. A few roof shingles and soffits damaged. A water oak (right now, all of the oaks are water oaks) and a cedar tree. Some water damage in a few condos.

I don't have to pick it up, but I sure gotta pay for it. *sigh*

Glad you're okay. What a week.

Glad you are okay and survived the storm. I saw on the news Fay is ready to make landfall -- a 4th time??? The EnigmaMom made it back to her beach view condo in Naples with no troubles. As she told me from her inland hotel, "Why worry? I have snacks!"

Joan, a verrrry long week.
Coulda been worse for a lot of us.
Glad you are ok.

Enigma, snacks are very important in a storm :-)
Glad your mom is OK.
Maybe if we all turned on fans and pointed them at Fay, she'd break up and go away for good!

I believe y'all broke records for off and on storms....

If only it had been an Olympic event.

Well lets hope the paper has got it all wrong- good luck with the clean up Jeannie, if I could help you I would, all of those branches, leaves and twigs, I know not much fun. At least Sparky will have some new sticks to drag around. :) xoxoxo

By the way, if you want, you can send those sticks to up my way....

Dianne, we're getting thunder and lightning from some huge dark clouds right now. Hope it keeps on going.

Kim, you guys had some sucky weather lately, too, didn't you?

Geez, Berry... you could easily fill a dump truck with the debris piled up just on my street.

Jean dear, I keep forgetting you're down there in the path! Dangit! Glad to hear you're only a little web-footed and not having to look for a new home. We've been enjoying some of the leftover rains all the way over here in LA. Good stuff, not nearly the quantity you're having to deal with. *s*

I am still a bit worried. Weather is so tricky and it's aftermath is not always as simple as, say, a light switch... on, then click, off... I'll keep a prayer or two going over the next few days. Just in case...

Well, guys, the rivers are still rising from the runoff so they are expecting to see more flooding in those areas. And... now we are keeping an eye out for Gustave as it heads to Haiti. They expect it to go to hurricane soon. *sigh*
