No promise of
sense or sanity.
Life expectancy of either.
Saturate with what
good is now.
Dissect, digest what
dark may bring again.
Away with that which creeps
and hopes to hide
jeweled bits of learning.
Know, remind (self)
good is greater here.
I am more.
More than troubles.
More than grief
and error.
Heartbeat does continue
pulsing life and
joy and dreams.
If beat should skip
then pause, reflect.
Breathe deep.
Breathe deep.

You really do have a gift, Jean. Thanks for sharing it with us. Sometimes it's hard to remember who we are apart from our troubles. I would add to continue...connect.
Such an interesting duality in these poems...
Lovely thoughts.
Breathing in and out
on a regular basis
keeps us from Stasis
Again, very nice Jean!! These two are so completely opposite poems. It appears that you are turning things around. "Hey... wait a minute!" <-- (to quote Gordy LaForge) I'm wondering if a person could get a little dizzy reading them one after another real fast. Let me see... Repeat, Repeat, Repeat... ok... spinning... spinning... spinning... it works... spinning... spinning... spinning... blacking ou.............
I actually, I intended this to be seen as one poem. The line "I am more." is meant as a bridge... kind of a deep breath before going to the next thought.
Thank you, Sparrow. I like your addition to the end... connect.
Larry - good breathing helps to filter and keep the mind clear... oh yes.
Mark - separate but connected.
Mick - If you fall down, I'm gonna feel bad!
Jean, I love this. I love it love it love it.
It speaks to me. And for me.
Yes, both of them.
Or maybe Part 1 and Part 2.
k - so glad you like it, m'dear.
