She isn't fooling anyone...

Misty moon hiding
behind a thin veil of clouds
thinks she can't be seen.

Thank you

You brought a smile on this second Monday

Because it is always all about me....

I'm gonna give myself brownie points for making you smile, Joe.

I kept trying to think of how to say it, regarding my reaction. Finally, I just decided to spit it out.

That poem is damned sexy. But in... hmm... the right ways? Or one of the good ways? Definitely a fun way. Did I... miss the point? There I go, trying to parse and figure and... Anyway, I just had to say something.

Well, Doom, if you read it as sexy (as Joe apparently did but I didn't get it until your comment) and you like it that way, that's a fine thing.
When I wrote it I was thinking more about people believing they're clever/successful in hiding their true selves from others.

I was pretty sure you had something else on YOUR mind, when you wrote it. It's an around the corner thing. Men, how we live, think, and act, is different than women, and our responses... Women just don't, always, see what it is we see and like, or not. Or how we see it. I like that, though.

I get what you are saying about your poem, more so now. And I like that notion too. Ever clever, rarely right in it, but it's... fun, or a nuisance, to catch them in the act literally or virtually... depending. A child with the hand in the cookie jar, or the dolt who is fibbing stupidly (because you saw them do what they say they didn't do). Yeah... Okies.

I like both notions. It's loverly when a word, phrase, or poem, has more than one meaning or truth. Urhm, a possible example of the poem itself, if one is witty? :) Be well.
