Losing...

Losing a friend
is more painful to me than losing a lover.
I will think of you often.
I will miss you always.

I'm there right now. God, it hurts.

I *was* there. I do not wish to ever go through it again, but...and maybe you don't want to hear this right now...it really does get better.

I never thought I'd hear myself say that, because I wanted to die with him for the longest time, but really...the wounds (maybe not all of them) do heal.

In some ways yes, time helps, in others way no, time just accentuates the loss. But we are individual and feel our losses and mourn our loss in different ways. I am not one to cry, and I seldom get over things......I carry them with me and then it comes out at the most inappropriate times.

We can have many lovers, and be friends with them all. But to have a true friend finds us lucky if we can count to more than a handful in a long lifetime. To lose a friend wrenches our hearts on so many more levels, and a piece of "us" is truly gone. Hugs and LOL.

Losing a friend is tough. My wife was my best friend.

I know this pain intimately well, as a result of 9/11.

My thoughts are with you.

Losing my keys is more painful than losing a friend or a lover. I bet one of those sumbitches took my keys, dammit...

I'm sorry for your loss but...if the friend you lost did something bad enough to alienate you...screw 'em! You didn't need 'em any way!

Screw all that, 'work on the relationship horse pucky! It either works on it's on or it ain't worth the hassle.

Take care sweet woman.

yes, when you lose a lover you can turn to your friends, but not vice versa...
