Fall color in Ohio...
My best friends in Florida just got back
from visiting their home town of Burton, Ohio.
(No, the scarecrow is not one of them, silly.)
Perfect timing for seeing the beautiful fall colors.
Damn, I miss this.

i miss the arkansas mountains! oceans of leaves changing colors!
those are preeety pictures :)
well, I'll liquid nails a bunch of lweaves onto a tree for you to see when you get up this way again....
Blaez, this just makes me more homesick!
Berry, maybe you can bring it with you d;-)
But do you miss what comes after?
ah, Mark. That is a hard question.
But it might be worth it.
If not home, a taste. It must only make you hungrier? Though, in suffering, sometimes, can be found clarity of life... and a muse?
Well, she has hair like a lion, and the scarecrow is between them, so, he must be the Tin Man?
You already know my opinion on the matter: What comes after is most definitely NOT worth it. ;)
I have to admit though: The colors right now ARE stunning. Just this morning I was looking out at the tree-scape and I thought: Wow. You'd think the SKY itself should be reflecting hues of brown, red, orange and yellow.
Kind of looks like Oregon fall color. No move planned yet though, huh?
If you miss it that much, I have a tree that looks a lot like that one in my front yard... except approximately half the leaves are not on the tree... they are ON the front yard... and the rest will fall soon. Got rake?
Doom - my muse is hiding lately.
Berry - could be.
Freddie - it's my favorite time of year.
Teresa - not yet. Still pondering.
Diane - got rake, will travel d:-)
Jean,
Remember that cold and forever winter follows this brief yet lovely burst of color.... yes freezing cold, shoveling, and bad roads... ugh
-Corby
lovely colors. i can understand why you might be homesick..
Corby - I know. Which is why I'm looking at 'southern' Ohio. ha.
Foam - it's calling me.
Ahhhhhhh, I love this time of year here in OH, too. It never lasts long enough. I'll be posting some vibrant autumn pics at my place soon. Come on over if you get homesick, Jean. I think the Universe should keep her fall colors on until the day after Thanksgiving...then She can disrobe to wear a cloak of fluffy white snowflakes~ [I'm a romantic... I won't even mention a shovel to muck up my perfect picturesque mental postcard. lol]
Lille, I like the way you think.
Be sure, I'll visit often d:-)
