Not even normal...

Here we are, past the middle of October, and ninety-nine
percent of the leaves on the trees are still green.
Not complaining, mind you.

Here we are, past the middle of October, and ninety-nine
percent of my Christmas shopping is done.
Not complaining, mind you.

Here we are, past the middle of October, and the sun is shining
and the windows are open to a warm breeze.
Not complaining, mind you.

Here we are, past the middle of October, and ninety-nine
percent of the baseball season is over and the Cleveland Indians
are still playing.
Not complaining, mind you.

I couldn't fit that forth verse into the same format as the three
verses before it.
Guess I'll complain about that.

Best to not complain. You must be living in a very small lucky zone. I know people all around, and most are already getting the winter blues. Enjoy for the rest of us. I had to start my furnace last month, and probably could have started it earlier. Bleh.

Do enjoy. I think it's going ugly, for most of us, this winter.

We had to run the furnace only 3-4 days so far. Then it warmed up again and stayed there...so far.
We all know nothing lasts forever, good or bad. We're enjoying what we have right now.
Stay warm and cozy, Doom :-)

Oh, you know me. I LOVE the cold. So, it's been great for me. My warning is true though, I think. Though there are always little blessed pockets for a few lucky people. I'll put a prayer in for that for you, if my mother will be a bit jealous. But come on, she lives in NW Iowa. No prayer can help them. :p
