Mr Sparky..........acting like a puppy.....well, I never....best advice I ever got about dog training?.... "Give the command like you expect it to be executed".....and see that it is
Remember this advice is from Emma's "mom" who a year later is still training her......what was I thinking getting a four year old from the pound???
Beck - "what was I thinking..." ha seems like I remember a post title of mine just like that :) Michael used to tell me I didn't have a stern voice to make critters obey. Must still be true. But... I will not give up!
I can't tell you how much I relate to this! I have a house full of cocker spaniels right now...my lab never needed such constant attention.
I've taken my order page down for now, Jean. I had to dry out my milker because we have no hay due to the drought. I could do a special order of fudge for you if one of my friend, Betsy's goats is still in milk. I have soap left, but am out of the lavender. Email me and I'll let you know what I have.

My kid hated that I told him he was going to be a good dog if it killed him....
Training is a rough time but it only lasts a while, you will be back to five syllable words in no time.
Val - hehe... I certainly hope so!
Yes, it's been ten years and we're almost there...
You know when you've got a incorrigible dog when you catch yourself trying to subdue a human with "down boy. . .down!"
Sparrow - 10 years... ohdeargawd.
Scully - ha...what's worse is when it works better on the human :)
Now you know what it's like to have kids... I'm jus' sayin....
Mick - heh......that's what I was thinkin'.
Dogs have 3 drives. 1) Prey. 2) Defense) 3)Pack.
You can guide them from Prey to Defense. And from Defense to Pack.
You can't guide them directly from Prey to Pack.
Hope that's helpful.
I'm just diggin' the title of this post. Awesome.
:)
You realize you can use this poem for many situations, human and non-human. Just insert name here.
a.s. - logic is always helpful, thanks.
Joan - hehe...thankee!
Kim - multi-functional? Cool!
