it is always too soon. I was speaking to my eldest, speaking of a friend of mine who just lost her last parent. I said, 'She's an orphan now...' and my son looked at me and said, "Mom, she's in her 40s..." I told him it matters not your age, when you lose your parents, you aren't getting new ones... you're an orphan.
Sad. But filled with love.
