Trial and error...

If I
had my way,
if it were
up to me,
I'd know
what to say
and how
to say it.
I'd know
what to feel
and when
to feel it.

  1. Now if this doesn't speak to you, you need to slink back into the primordial mud from which you came, slithery and trembly of limbs, unused to your own weight.

Just great. Hell, I'd need two or three pages to say the same thing.

A thinker is our Jean. A writer of few words.......but profound.

  2. Larry - "...our Jean." I like that.
This poem has been sitting in my notebook since October. Thank you, my friend.

    Joan - :)

  4. I've never been able to say what I needed to say in a short poem, but you've been able to pull it off. Very nice.

  5. Yeah, if only. One of my bigger weaknesses.

  6. But, Jean, it IS up to you. And no one else...

  8. Rick and the Atavist... we seem to agree, then :)

Frederick - feel free to browse! I prefer short and to the point, most of the time. Thank you.

Jack - people so often question what they feel, no?

Winston - I guess, it's realy up to each of us.

Dave - well, there is that! heh.

  10. "Maybe this time, I'll speak the words of life with your fire in my eyes, but that old familiar fear is tearing at my words.

What am I so afraid of?

But here I go again, talking about the rain and mulling over things that won't live past today.

And as I dance around the truth, time is not his friend. This might be my last chance to tell him that you love him.

    But here I go again."

Casting Crown's "Here I go Again".

Kind of different than your poem but it's what sprang into my Troll Mind. If it isn't obvious, the singer is a Christian and his unsaved friend is ill and dying.

    believe in you,
    the more you
    you are.
