That's just plain ol' sad. Wish my dad were alive -- I'd gladly toast marshmallows with him. For some reason I was thinking about Dad just the other day. When I got my first car I went to the zoo every weekend, regardless of the season. Like him, I enjoyed the zoo. Did I ever ask him to go with me (Mom was dead)? No. How stupid I was back then. Can't correct the past.
Bonnie, I agree. How little we appreciate what we have when we have it. I'd gladly take a couple of do-overs with both my parents, both gone a long time.
