I think that myself. And, for some of us, it is more you are a soul, and you have a body... somewhere, probably, check it out sometime, it can be fun! Or it feels that way much of the time.
I also think there are manlike-animals who do not have souls. I wonder if the "elite" no that, so make extreme allowances for them? But, then why try to model the rest of society upon them? *sigh*
